Who We Are
The Gulfport Coastline Coalition (GCC) is a citizen-led initiative dedicated to protecting coastal land in Gulfport, Florida. Our mission is to secure and steward land for community resilience and long-term conservation.
What We Do
GCC began with a vision to acquire 5.67 acres along Boca Ciega Bay that was on the market. In May 2025, that parcel went under contract with a private developer, and as of Feburary 1, 2026, the sale was still pending.
That vision remains alive, but our mission has grown larger than one piece of land. Today, we are working to safeguard Gulfport’s coastline as a whole — strengthening resilience through community-led adaptation, advancing nature-based solutions, ensuring public access to the waterfront, and aligning with regional and state planning goals.
This moment calls for bold stewardship. Together, we can transform vulnerability into resilience and shape a coastline that protects both people and place for generations to come.
